Samsung Unveils Galaxy A8 (2018) And A8+ (2018) With Dual Selfie Camerasby Ajinkya December 20, 2017
Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy A series after a long time. The latest additions are the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). Both phones feature a sleek metal body, thin bezels, and water resistance.
As the name suggests, the A8+ is bigger among the two. It features a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. Like most other A series devices, this one is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 chipset. It comes in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options. The base model has 32 GB storage whereas the top variant packs in 64 GB storage. There’s also a microSD card slot.
The A8+ sports a 16 MP rear camera. To please the selfie-addicts, the phone delivers a dual camera setup. It comprises of a primary 16 MP camera and 8 MP depth sensor. The device supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. It has a 3500 mAh battery with fast charging technology.
The A8 offers a relatively smaller 5.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by Exynos 7885 SoC (System on Chip). RAM and storage variants remain as its variants.
This one too prioritises the selfie camera over rear shooter. The latter is restricted to solo optics of 16 MP whereas the front camera gets a dual lens treatment. It comes with the same connectivity features as its elder sibling. It does however cuts down on battery by opting for a 3000 mAh unit.
