The South Korean giant has finally unveiled the highly rumored Galaxy Book Go in the global markets. The laptop will be powered by a 5G chipset along with a 4G variant. The only difference on these 4G and 5G variants is in terms of processor.

The tech mogul has tried to put its focus on the affordable segment of the Indian laptop market. These laptops are powered by Snapdragon chipsets giving users a power-efficient output. The brand has introduced a few Galaxy devices in April this year such as Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro, Book Odyssey, and Book Pro 360.

Here are a few key features and details that you should know about this latest Galaxy device.

The Galaxy Book Go series will sport a 14” screen producing Full HD resolution and the device will offer a 180-degree hinge. The overall build is also pretty lightweight and Samsung has used MIL-STD materials for extended durability. The brand has also offered a dual 1.5W speaker setup on both the Galaxy Book Go variants.

At the core, the 4G variant of Galaxy Book Go sports Snapdragon 7c 2nd-gen SoC where users will also get LTE connectivity as an option. The 5G variant will sport Snapdragon’s 8cx 2.5 chip. The processors on both the devices will be paired with up to 128 gigs of onboard storage and 8GB of memory. There will also be a dedicated slot for microSD.

On the software front, the laptops will boot on Windows 10 Pro/Home alongside full integration with SmartThings to offer users smart home control. The devices are backed up by a 42.3WHr battery pack that will support fast charging up to 25W. A few connectivity options are a USB 2.0 port, 2x 2 MIMO, 2x USB Type-C ports, nano-SIM slot, nano security slot, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, LTE, and a 3.5mm audio port.

Pricing and availability

The laptops will be available in only a silver color option. The 5G variant is speculated to be in the US market by fall this year. Samsung has priced the Wi-Fi variant at an aggressive price tag of $349 (~₹25,500). It will go on sale on June 10. There are no further details revealed by the brand for the LTE variant’s pricing and availability.
