In an online-only event, the South Korean tech giant has launched a range of devices. The devices are Galaxy Book, Book Pro, Book Pro 360, and Book Odyssey. Samsung has tried to focus all the users, from basic to high-end, by these devices. All are priced differently and we are going to discuss all the key details here.

Coming to the performance, Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a convertible laptop that comes with touchscreen and stylus support whereas the Galaxy Book Pro is a regular laptop with top-of-the-line spec-sheet. Another device dubbed as Book Odyssey sports high-end graphics and larger battery. It is also focused on graphic-driven tasks. The most affordable option among the lot is Galaxy Book. All the devices that are launched will draw their power from Intel’s 11th-gen processors and Windows 10 onboard.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro: Key specs & features

The device comes in two screen-size options, 13.3” and 15.6” AMOLED panels producing FHD resolution. Galaxy Book Pro will be available in three RAM options, 8GB/16GB/32GB of LPDDR4x memory. The processor onboard is Intel i7 11th-gen. On the storage front, users will get 1TB of NVMe high-speed storage. Galaxy Book Pro is equipped with Xe graphics and users can also upgrade it to GeForce MX450.

The ports on the 13” and 15” models are slightly different where users will get HDMI, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, 3.5mm audio port, USB A 3.2 song with a microSD card slot. The 13” variant will skip the HDMI slot, however, it will offer a nano-SIM slot for 4G LTE connection. There will be Wi-Fi 6E on the 15” variant. Coming to the battery capacity, it will come with a 68Wh battery whereas the 13” variant will have a 63Wh battery. Samsung is bundling a 65W charger with both the devices.

Both the variants also sport DolbyAtmos AKG speakers, HD webcam, and a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360: Key specs & features

Like Book Pro, the 360 2-in-1 model will also be available in 13.3” and 15.5” screen sizes. The touchscreen s-AMOLED panel will produce Full HD resolution and the device will come bundled with a S-pen stylus. The 13.3” variant will come with 5G connectivity through a nano-SIM slot whereas the 15.5” model will only support Wi-Fi 6E in terms of wireless internet connectivity. The device will also be available in three processor options, 11th-gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU. The bigger-sized one will sport 32 gigs of memory whereas the 13.3” variant will come in 8GB and 12GB RAM options.

The device comes equipped with Xe Graphics and 1TB of NVMe high-speed storage. The 13” variant comes in 63Wh battery whereas the 15-inch variant will have a tad bigger 65Wh battery. Galaxy Book Pro 360 will come with USB Type-C charging up to 65W. This 2-in-1 laptop will come with a couple of USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio port, AKG speakers powered by DolbyAtmos, fingerprint scanner, and a high-definition webcam. The build quality of this convertible is also pretty robust where you will get MIL-STD-810G that is best to handle high/low pressure, shock, dust, humidity, etc.

Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey: Key specs & features

The Book Odyssey will only be available in 15.6” size and the device will use a TFT LCD panel that will produce FHD resolution. Odyssey will be available in three RAM options (8GB/16GB/32GB of LPDDR4x RAM) and two processor options, ie., 11th-gen Intel Core i5 and i7. The onboard storage will be 1TB of NVMe high-speed SSD. Users will also get extra slots to upgrade RAM and expand storage. There will also be an option in terms of graphics card, users can choose between GeForce RTX3050 Ti Max-Q and RTX3050 Max-Q GPUs.

The battery capacity on this one is also the largest at 83Wh that will be charged at 135W using the bundled Type-C charger. A few other connectivity options are RJ45 LAN port, 2 USB Type-C ports, HDMI slot, security key slot, Wi-Fi 6E, 3.5mm audio port, and a microSD card slot. There will also be triple USB Type-A 3.2 ports.

Samsung Galaxy Book: Key specs & features

In the whole lineup, this is the device that is focused on the basic user base. There will only be a 15.6” model that will have the TFT LCD panel producing FHD resolution. The 54Wh battery will be charged using a 65W bundled Type-C charger. There will be a range of processor options available to users. The options are Intel Pentium Gold, Intel Celeron, and a series of 11th-gen Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs. The laptop can be picked up in either Intel HD or GeForce MX450 GPU.

The memory options are 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB and the storage on all the models will be a 512GB NVMe SSD. The storage can also be expanded. The laptop also has a nano-SIM slot that will offer 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity features are Wi-Fi 6E, 2x USB Type-C ports, 2x USB Type-A 3.2 ports, HDMI port, speakers with DolbyAtmos, and a 3.5mm audio port. There will be a microSD card slot, HD webcam, and a fingerprint scanner.

Pricing and availability

The Galaxy Book Pro starts at a price of $999 (roughly ₹74,400) and $1,099 (roughly ₹81,900) for the 13” and 15” variants, respectively. The Book Pro 360 will be available at a retail price of $1,199 (~₹89,300) and $1,299 (~₹96,800) for the 13” and 15” variants, respectively. The base price of Galaxy Book is $549 (roughly ₹40,900) and the Book Odyssey will start at $1,399 (~₹1,04,200). There is no information on the Indian availability of the lineup.
