Samsung is trying to build an ecosystem; Re-entry in the India’s PC segment

In a statement given to a media outlet, the IDC director Navkendar Singh said that the country’s PC market has gone through a good growth over the pandemic period. It is primarily due to the WFH and online schooling. Now, when the offices and schools are opening up, it is expected that the consumer market will see a downfall this year, he added.

The South Korean giant is trying to bring its lineup back to India after the Chinese players like Xiaomi and Realme have revealed their affordable options. The Taiwanese brand Lenovo has also launched a number of products in its portfolio. There are reports that IDC will try to create an ecosystem somewhat similar to Apple’s.

Singh also said that there seems to be a huge brand appeal that can fill the void for those consumers who really like to go for Samsung’s smartphone line. He added in the statement that it’s time to grab the opportunity for Samsung to create a multi-device play with better integration between its products like watches, earpods, laptops, and smartphones.
