Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Tab S4. This closely precedes the launch of the much-awaited Galaxy Note 9 launch. Samsung has also launched the Galaxy Tab A. Samsung has launched the two devices ahead of the Galaxy Note 9 launch scheduled for 8 August in New York.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was launched with the S Pen. The Android-powered Tablet packs 4GB of RAM. It comes with two storage variants – the 64 GB and 256 GB. The in-built storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 400 GB.
If reports in The Verge are to be believed, the 64 GB storage variant is priced at $650 which converts to a little over Rs. 44700. As for the 256 GB storage variant, it will be available for sale at $750 which converts to a around Rs. 51,600.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The tablet comes with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The device comes with thin bezels to ensure maximum space for display and viewing. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.
An interesting feature of this device is the DeX technology. It allows the tablet to change from an Android interface to a desktop-like experience. The DeX technology is available in Galaxy S9/S9 Plus and S8/S8 Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 packs in a 13 MP autofocus primary camera with an 8 MP selfie-camera or front camera. The tablet is powered by a massive battery of 7,300 mAh capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A, which was launched alongside the Tab S4, features a 10.5-inch WUXGA display. The aspect ratio of the display screen is 16:10. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A runs on the Android OS and facilitates 3GB of RAM, complemented by 32 GB of internal storage. Using a microSD card, the storage can be expanded to 400 GB.
The device packs in an 8 MP autofocus primary camera with 5 MP selfie camera. It is powered by a battery of 7,300 mAh battery.
