by October 17, 2017

A few hours ago, images of the upcoming Samsung tablet Galaxy Tab Active 2 were spotted online. And now, GSMArena is reporting that the tablet has been officially unveiled in Netherlands.

The rumours were right on the money, as the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is IP68 certified. It can withstand dust and water. It is a rugged device adhering to military-standard MIL-STD-810.

It features an 8-inch screen with 1280×800 pixels. With such low resolution, you can expect to see some pixelation for sure. To make sure you don’t have to remove gloves in the cold season, the display supports high sensitivity mode.

The tablet borrows the Bixby feature from Samsung’s Galaxy phone line-up. The Siri competitor is quite chatty and can answer to a variety of queries and can also perform tasks such as setting an alarm or a meeting reminder.

The Tab 2 Active comes with an 8 MP rear camera. For video calls, you get a 5 MP front camera. We won’t judge you if you use it for selfies.

The tablet comes with an S Pen stylus for jotting down notes. You can also show your creative side by using the stylus to draw your masterpiece.

The Galaxy Tab 2 Active will hit the store in Netherlands in late November. It is set to cost 500 euros (approx Rs 38,000).
