As the year 2018 is coming to an end, it’s time to welcome the next-gen flagships. However, the smartphone brands will try various ways to keep the old models alive towards the end of their product lifecycle. One such way is to launch old devices with new colour variants and Samsung seems to be taking that route for its Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The company has officially announced new Alpine White colour variant for its Galaxy Note 9 and dual-tone radiant Polaris Blue colour variant for its Galaxy S9+. With the addition of new colours, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will now be available in five color options- Ocean Blue, Metallic Copper, Lavender Purple, Midnight Black and Alpine White; while the Galaxy S9+ will now be available in six colour options- Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Burgundy Red, Sunrise Gold, Lilac Purple and Polaris Blue.

The Alpine White edition of Galaxy Note 9 is priced in India at Rs. 67,900 for the 128GB memory variant and the Galaxy S9+ Polaris Blue colour variant is priced in India at Rs. 64,900 for the 64GB memory variant. The phones are already available for pre-order via Samsung Online Shop and across selected online platforms. The devices will be available at offline stores starting December 10 onwards. As part of the launch offers, customers can avail an exchange bonus of Rs. 9,000 on exchanging select old smartphones and avail Rs. 6,000 cashback for payments via HDFC credit or debit cards. In addition, customers can also avail Rs. 3,000 Instant Cashback on Galaxy S9+ Polaris Blue.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ Polaris Blue

The Galaxy S9+ features a 6.2-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display and is powered by Samsung Exynos 9810 SoC in India. The Polaris Blue coloured Galaxy S9+ comes only in 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage with expandable memory support of up to 256GB. It sports a dual rear camera setup with dual OIS, specifically a wide-angle lens with Super Speed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel autofocus f/1.5-f/2.4 sensor and a telephoto lens with 12-megapixel autofocus f/2.4 sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel autofocus with f/1.7 aperture. The dimensions of the device are 158.1 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm and it weighs about 189 grams. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with Samsung’s own Experience UI on top. All of this is backed by a 3500mAh capacity battery.
