Samsung‘s Galaxy S and Note series are two of the most anticipated smartphones every year. We’ve already witnessed the launch of S series (Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+) this year and now it’s time for the launch of Galaxy Note 9. Not much is known about the device yet, but it has been leaked online in renders and 360-degree video by trusted tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @Onleaks) via 91mobiles.

Take a look at the renders first…

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Leaked 3D Render by OnLeaks

As per the leaked renders, the Galaxy Note 9 look very identical to its predecessor i.e. Galaxy Note 8 and has design language which also resembles Galaxy S9. The only major change is on the back with the rearrangement of the fingerprint sensor. The 3.5mm headphone jack is retained (Thank God!) and there’s no top display notch (Thank God!).

The front of the device would feature Samsung’s Infinity Display with thin bezels at top as well as bottom. The volume rocker and the power toggle are placed on the left side whereas the dedicated Bixby button is placed on the right. The bottom of the device will feature 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, a microphone and a speaker grille along with the silo for the S Pen. The rear hosts the camera setup and a fingerprint scanner placed beneath the camera module, just like the Galaxy S9. However, this is contrary to the previous leaks that reported an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The leak also mentions that the phone will sport a 6.3-inch display and will measure 161.9 x 76.3 X 8.8 mm, which means it’s only 0.2mm thicker than its predecessor. The RAM will be 6GB and internal storage capacity will be up to 256GB. The device will be backed by an upgraded 3,850mAh.

Based on the leaks in the past, the phone will feature QHD+ resolution display with aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It will be powered by Samsung Exynos 9810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, depending on the market.

Although the rumors are always to be taken with a pinch of salt, we can expect the Galaxy Note 9 will be more or less as seen in the above renders as Steve has a good track record of providing renders of yet-to-be launched smartphones. We’ll have to wait for the confirmation till August as that’s when the device is expected to be launched. Stay tuned till then!
