South Korean tech titan Samsung is already done with the launch of its flagships Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Now it’s time for other upcoming flagships and one of the key ones is of course the Galaxy Note 9. Samsung has worked hard after the Galaxy Note 7 battery fiasco. The company made up for the lost ground with successful launch of Galaxy Note 8 and company will leave no stone unturned with its successor, Galaxy Note 9.

But when will the much talked about Galaxy Note 9 be launched?

There have been several rumours about the launch date and specifications of Galaxy Note 9. Recently, Sammobile broke the news that Samsung has already started testing the firmware for Galaxy Note 9, which indicates that the launch of the device could be in July 2018 instead of August 2018 as speculated earlier.

The Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy Note 8 were launched in August 2016 and August 2017 respectively. So, the Galaxy Note 9 was also expected to be launched in the month of August. However, as the firmware is already being tested, we can expect an early launch. Samsung may be eyeing for an early launch in order to get a good sales push before the launch of close rival Apple’s next flagship which happens during September every year.

Most of this is just an assumption and there is no official confirmation from Samsung as yet. However, you can expect the rumour mills to gain momentum as the company gears up for the launch of Galaxy Note 9 and that will be an indication that the launch is near.

Galaxy Note 9 Speculated Design and Specifications:

The Note 9 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch infinity display with thin bezels and it may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. One of the most hyped feature expected in Note 9 is the under-display fingerprint scanner, the first Samsung device to sport the same. The feature was expected in Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ but the company decided to give it a miss then. It may run Android 8.1 out-of-the box. The battery capacity of the device will be 4000mAh or maybe lower (remember the Note 7 episode?). You can also expect the Note 9 to come with an upgraded version of S Pen stylus with enhanced sensibility.

In terms of optics, Samsung may experiment with the dual-aperture, single lens camera which can very well set a new trend in the smartphone industry.

Galaxy Note 9 Pricing:

In terms of pricing the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to cost around $1000 i.e. approx. Rs. 65,000.
