Great news if you are scouting for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8. The smartphone is Rs. 10000 cheaper online. You can now own the Galaxy Note 8 at a total cost of Rs. 49,900. The new price has been announced by Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer via its Facebook page and Twitter handle. A picture of the smartphone posted by the company is as below:

Samsung Note 8 was initially launched for Rs. 67,900 last year. Over time, it became cheaper with price cuts and was available at a cost of Rs. 59,900. The smartphone is further discounted by Rs. 10,000 because of a Paytm cashback scheme that is available till 31st May.

At a cost less than Rs. 50,000, the Galaxy Note 8 offers good value for money considering its features and specifications detailed out as below.

The smartphone launched in September last year is available in single SIM and hybrid SIM options. It features a super AMOLED Infinity display of 6.3 inches and a resolution of 1440 * 2960 pixels. The dimensions of the smartphone are 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is powered by Android 7.1.1 and can be seamlessly upgraded to the Android 8.0 Oreo.

In terms of memory and storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with in-built memory variants of 64/128/256 GB and is powered by 6 GB RAM. Its external memory capacity is of 400 GB.

This is the first Samsung smartphone that features a dual-camera setup. The smartphone packs 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel telephoto lens, with both sporting optical image stabilization (OIS). The wide-angle lens comes with aperture f/1.7, 1.4-micron pixel size, 77-degree field of view. The telephoto lens is equipped with an aperture f/2.4, 2x optical zoom, up to 10x digital zoom. The camera can operate different modes such as Live focus, food mode, pro mode, panorama and slow motion thereby making it a delight for creating lasting memories. The 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus, f/1.7 aperture and wide-angle lens in the front makes the smartphone a great buy for selfie lovers as well.

The Galaxy Note 8 is powered by a non-removable Lithium-ion battery of 3300 mAh. The smartphone is available in colour options such as maple gold, orchid gray, midnight black, star pink and deep-sea blue. However, the star pink colour is currently not available in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is anticipated to launch in August or September later this year as the company had earlier launched two of their smartphones in these months. The Galaxy Note 9 will pack in all the features on Note 8 and is expected to be launched with an in-built finger-print sensor and battery capability of 3850-4000 mAh. It is likely to be powered by Android 8.1 Oreo with a 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 845 processor.
