Samsung Galaxy M40Earlier this month, Samsung expanded its Galaxy M series in India with the launch of its Galaxy M40 smartphone. The smartphone was originally available through limited sales via eCommerce giant and Samsung’s Online Store in the country. But now the South Korean tech giant has decided to start selling the phone via open sale i.e. the phone can now be purchased any time from and Samsung Online Store. To recall, the highlights of the Galaxy M40 include Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, 6GB of RAM and triple rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy M40 is priced in India at Rs. 19,900 for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant. There are two gradient color options available for the interested buyers- Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue. Launch offer includes Reliance Jio double data offer on recharge of Rs. 198 and Rs. 299. Vodafone and Idea customers are also entitled to avail a cashback worth Rs. 3,750 on recharge of Rs. 255. The Galaxy M40 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Display along with a contrast ratio of 1200:1, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and 480 nits of brightness. The display panel also comes with the company’s screen sound technology that produces audio vibrations on the handset. The dual-SIM phone runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box with Samsung’s own One UI on top. The battery capacity of the device is 3,500mAh and it comes with 15W fast charging support. There’s an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC underneath to keep things ticking along with Adreno 612 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The onboard storage capacity of the phone is 128GB which is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).

In terms of optics, you get a vertically stacked triple camera set up at the back which is placed at the top left corner and comprises of a a 32-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture + a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor + an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front gets a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and making video calls.
