South Korean tech giant Samsung has expanded its entry level product portfolio in India with the launch of two new smartphones dubbed as Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. The series was subjected to several rumours in the recent past and is finally launched now. This also marks the debut of the company’s Galaxy M line which is “inspired by millennials” as claimed by the company. Both the phones feature Infinity-V displays (waterdrop notch) and come equipped with strong set of features. The Galaxy M series is India first and is online exclusive. It will be sold only exclusively via Amazon India website and Samsung’s online store.

Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20: Price and Availability in India

The Samsung Galaxy M10 base variant i.e. 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage is priced in India at Rs. 7,990 and top variant i.e. 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is priced in India at Rs. 8,990. The Galaxy M20 also comes in two memory variants. The base variant i.e. 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage comes with price tag of Rs. 10,990 and top variant i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage comes with price tag of Rs. 12,990. Both the phones will be made available in two colour options- Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black; and will go on sale in the country starting February 5, 2019.

As an introductory offer, Jio 4G customers buying the Galaxy M-series models are entitled to receive “Double-Data” on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 recharge packs.

Samsung Galaxy M10 Features and Specifications

The Galaxy M10 features 6.22-inch LCD Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The internal storage options are 16GB and 32GB. The phone comes with 512GB microSD slot. It is shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo with Experience UI 9.5 on top and is backed by a 3,400mAh capacity battery. In the camera department, you get a 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera configuration which is stacked vertically and placed at the top left corner. The primary sensor offers f/1.9 aperture while the secondary sensor gets an ultra wide-angle lens. The front hosts a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy M20 Features and Specifications

The Galaxy M20 has slightly better specs than Galaxy M10. It bears a 6.3-inch Infinity-V display with a FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the phone draws power from a 1.8GHz Exynos 7904 processor along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Notably, it is the first Samsung phone to come with the new Exynos 7904 chipset. Samsung says the chipset has been optimised for India to deliver high-end multimedia capabilities. The internal storage options include- 32GB and 64GB. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. There’s an impressive 5,000mAh battery underneath with type-C USB port and support for 15w fast charging. The phone runs Experience UI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. In terms of optics, it has a same dual rear camera set up as that of Galaxy M10 i.e. 13MP + 5MP. But the front hosts a slightly better 8MP selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear camera come with a Portrait mode. The phone also comes with Widevine L1 certification for HD and full HD content support on Netflix. It has Dolby Atmos 360 surround sound support.
