Samsung’s latest smartphone Galaxy Grand Neo is reported to go on sale in India from next week. The device which was launched globally a month ago, will hit the stores with a price tag of around Rs. 19,000. The handset is expected to give competition to Micromax Canvas Turbo, Sony Xperia C, Xolo Q3000 and similar devices.
The Grand Neo is similar to company’s flagship Galaxy Grand in most aspects except for processor and camera. The Grand Neo is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB RAM. It sports a 5.1-inch TFT screen with WVGA (480×800 pixel) resolutions. There’s a 5MP primary camera with LED flash and a VGA secondary camera. The inbuilt storage capacity is 16GB which can be expanded up to 64GB by means of microSD card.
There are various connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G and GPS/AGPS. Battery strength of the device is 2100mAh which can deliver up to 8 hours of internet usage on 3G and up to 10 hours of internet usage on Wi-Fi. It can last up to 430 hours on standby mode and provide up to 11 hours of 3G talk time.
In terms of dimensions, the device measures 143.7×77.1×9.6mm and weighs 163 grams. It comes with pre-loaded apps like Google Hangouts, Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps and more.
