A press release invite by Samsung suggests that the Korean tech giant is reportedly set to release the 2nd generation of Galaxy Grand series smartphone in India early next, possibly on Monday (23rd December). However there is no official word available about the same as the invite doesn’t mention any specific details.
The Grand 2 sports a 5.25-inch display with 16:9 HD ratio and 720p resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB RAM. In-built storage is 8GB which can be expanded up to 64GB by microSD card. There is am 8MP autofocus rear snapper with LED flash and a 1.9MP front snapper capable of recording HD videos. The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. All of this is packed with 2600 mAh battery capacity that can provide up to 17 hours of talktime.
Some of the other features include dualSIM support, 3G network support, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, WiFi support and more. In addition there are certain smart features such as Story Album to organize pictures, Samsung Hub, S Translator app, Sound & Shot, Samsung Link, S Travel, Group Play and more.
The device is expected to be available in 3 colour variants- White, Black and Pink.

Galaxy Grand is one of the most popular smartphone by Nokia and its successor Grand 2 is expected to be equally successful. There are no details available about the pricing of the device, but it is expected to be around Rs. 21,000. Also, its still unknown if the device will support Galaxy Gear.
