Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro or the Galaxy A9 Pro? Which One Grabs The Cookie?by Ryan Dsouza February 15, 2017
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is now available for pre-orders with a price tag of Rs. 36,990. The prime USP of the device is a powerful 6GB RAM. The shipment is expected to kick off by 27th February. Apart from India, the C9 Pro will also be released in several other Asian countries.
In the high-end smartphone category, the new C9 Pro is largely compared to Samsung’s previous offering, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. But, is the comparison justified? A close look at the duo will help us understand.
When it comes to specifications, the C9 Pro and the A9 Pro stand just a few inches away from each other. Both sport a massive 6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The C9 Pro is powered by a 1.95 GHz Octa-core processor, while the A9 Pro comes with one clocked at 1.8 GHz. However, that shouldn’t make too much of a difference.
What’s most fascinating is a 6GB RAM loaded in the new C9 Pro, which is definitely a lot more than what one would expect from a smartphone. However, A9 Pro features a slightly lower 4GB RAM, which isn’t bad either.
Both handsets will come preloaded with the Android Marshmallow OS. Although there is no news yet on a future Nougat update, you can surely expect it shortly.
While the C9 Pro comes with an internal storage capacity of whooping 64GB, the A9 Pro comes with slightly lesser storage of 32GB. However, both give you an option to further expand the memory up to 256GB, which is more than just amazing.
The C9 Pro sports a 16MP primary camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash. Interestingly, it also houses a 16MP snapper on the front, thereby attracting the attention of selfie lovers. The A9 Pro too has a 16MP rear camera, but a standard 8MP front camera.
Regarding battery, Samsung isn’t leaving behind any empty spaces. Powering the C9 Pro is a 4000mAh battery. However, with the A9 Pro, Samsung takes it all to the next level with an impressive 5000 mAh battery onboard.
Which One Should You Go For?
No doubt, both seem to make it right at the top with a bunch of impressive features packed in. However, your choice would greatly depend on your personal preferences. For instance, if a powerful camera is what you are looking for, you may want to bet your money on the C9 Pro while those looking for a long-lasting battery should opt for the A9 Pro.
