South Korean tech giant Samsung has extended its Galaxy A lineup by unveiling Galaxy A7 smartphone in its hometown. Earlier, the company launched Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ smartphones. Some of the highlights of Galaxy A7 are triple rear camera set up, 24MP selfie camera, 6-inch infinity display, side mounted fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos audio. The phone will be officially launched at an event to be held in Malaysia next month i.e. October 11, where we’ll get to details regarding the pricing and availability. The company is also expected to launch a phone with quadruple rear-camera system dubbed as the Galaxy A9, during the same event.

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy A7 will hit the European and Asian markets this fall, which means we can expect the India launch during the same time. The expected price is around Rs. 30,000.

Samsung Galaxy A7 Software and Hardware Configuration:

The Galaxy A7 draws power from 2.2GHz octa-core processor. The exact nature of the chipset is still unknown, and it is likely to vary as per the market. The phone will be available in three storage variants- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The storage can be expanded further up to 512GB via microSD card.

It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and is fueled by 3,300mAh battery. It sports a 6.0-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixel resolution.

In terms of optics, the phone bears a triple rear camera set up which comprises of 8MP 120-degrees ultra wide-angle sensor along with a 24MP secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP sensor for depth effect. The rear camera also features Live Focus which enables users to adjust the bokeh effect in an image. On the front you get a 24MP selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture and support for Selfie Focus, Pro Lightening Mode, Adjustable LED flash, AR emoji and other filters.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy A7 features 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, ANT+, NFC (option feature depending on the region) with Samsung Pay support, GPS, GLONASS and 3.5mm headphone jack. There will be four color options available for the users – Blue, Black, Gold and Pink.
