Samsung Galaxy A40Samsung is on a roll in 2019. The company kick-started the year with the launch of its new Galaxy M series smartphones followed by expansion of its Galaxy A series. Recently, the company launched its Galaxy A20 smartphone in Russia and now it has gone official with another Galaxy A series device dubbed as Galaxy A40. The phone is official in the Netherlands and Dutch e-tailer Belsimpel has started taking pre-orders for the same for EUR 249 which is roughly Rs. 19,500. There will be four colour options available for the interested buyers- Black, Blue, Coral, and White.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Features and Specifications

In terms of features and specifications, the Galaxy A40 sits between the Galaxy A30 and A50. It sports a 5.9-inch Infinity-U display with Super AMOLED panel bearing a full HD+ resolution of 2280×1080 pixels and a notch on top that Samsung wants you to call “Infinity-U display.” Under the hood, the device is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 chipset with ARM Mali G71 GPU. In terms of memory, there’s 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 512GB by means of a microSD slot. In terms of software, the phone runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box, with Samsung’s own One UI on top. For security purpose, the phone features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor which is placed at the center. All of this is backed up by a 3,100mAh battery with fast charging support. The device measures 144.3 x 69.1 x 7.9 mm.

In terms of camera, the phone comes equipped with a dual camera module on the back consisting of a 16 MP + 5 MP ultra-wide sensors. The front hosts a 25MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A40 features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The onboard sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and magnetometer.
