Samsung Galaxy A20South Korean tech giant Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A series portfolio with the launch of Galaxy A20 smartphone in Russia. The phone was launched alongside the Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A30 and is currently available only in the Russian market. The phone is a budget offering with average set of specifications and features.

Samsung Galaxy A20 Price and Availability

As mentioned earlier, the phone is currently launched only for Russian market and is priced at RUB 13,990 which roughly translates to $217 and INR 15,000. The phone can be purchased from company’s official online store as well as partner sales channels in the country.

Samsung Galaxy A20 Features and Specifications

The Galaxy A20 is a budget smartphone and thus it comes equipped with specifications accordingly. It sports a 3D Glasstic design which employs a polycarbonate shell. The device features a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED panel with 720×1560 pixel screen resolution and a tiny water drop shaped notch at the top to house the selfie camera. Under the hood, the device draws its power from an octa-core Exynos 7884 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz paired with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. In terms of memory, there’s a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable further up to 512GB using a microSD card. All of this is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. It is still unclear if it gets support for fast charging or not. In terms of software, the phone runs Samsung One UI, which is based on Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system. The dimensions of the device are 158.4 x 74.7 x 7.8 mm.

In terms of optics, there’s a dual camera set up stacked horizontally on the back which comprises of a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture + a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options included in the Galaxy A20 are 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

There are no details available yet regarding Galaxy A20’s availability outside of Russia. However, we can expect Samsung to soon launch the device is key regions of Europe and Asia at least. It could be launched along with Galaxy A70 and the Galaxy A90, for which Samsung has scheduled an event on April 10. Keep watching this space for further updates.
