A team of experienced folks who worked for Instagram and Apple in the past have developed a new 360 degree camera. Called as Rylo, the tiny camera solved the problem of missing the action or framing the shot. You get the entire view all the time. The videos are shot in 4K and are ideal for VR (Virtual Reality) headsets.
Rylo’s two lenses capture 180-degree view each. wide field of view overlap to provide full 360-degree coverage. There’s even an option to crop a regular HD video from the 360-degree footage. Rylo’s software takes care of fish eye lens effect caused by the spherical lenses. You also get editing controls like trimming and cropping.
Once you are happy with the results, you can share the videos to Instagram or Facebook right from the app. The Rylo camera comes with a companion mobile app that lets you edit and share videos on the go. Rylo’s software offers a stabilisation feature too. With a simple toggle, you can get rid of the unwanted camera motion.
