Let’s face it, nobody likes cleaning unless they have some major compulsive cleaning habits. The only time that we are willing to clean is during festivals or when we have been diagnosed with dust allergies. Point is, cleaning can be a boring process…and this is precisely the kind of thinking that the American advanced technology company iRobot aims to change with its latest Roomba 980, a vaccum cleaning robot!
The Roomba 980 is the new product in the company range of robot vacuum cleaners aimed at growing market of users who like to clean their houses, but dislike the manual labour involved (which practically means EVERYBODY!). The little genius Roomba 980 uses the iAdapt® 2.0 Navigation, which incorporates multiple sensors to effectively and efficiently map out the clutter in the room and help to cover the area better. Furthermore, using the proprietary vSLAM® technology, the Roomba 980 can also save visual landmarks so that it can keep track of the areas it has been to and where it currently is.
This SmartCleaner (we just named it!) like any other efficient housekeeper senses the dirt and dust that hides in the carpets and rugs, and automatically increases its power by multiples to remove the grime. The machine incorporates the dual counter rotating AeroForce Extractors to ensure vigorous brushing.
The Wi-Fi enabled robot is every techie’s dream. Just connect your Roomba 980 to your Smartphone and you sit back while you control the robot to do your bidding, or rather, cleaning! That’s not it… The user can even access helpful tips, smart tricks, and other operational support on the app. The user can keep a check on their Roomba from anywhere, making sure that their houses stay clean, always. The app also allows the user to schedule cleaning sessions so that the user doesn’t have to bother about turning on the device and supervise.
The Roomba 980 does what even the most sincere of maids cannot do- clean every speck of dust that lies along the edges of the wall by just pressing ‘Clean’ button. The Roomba uses a three Stage Cleaning System. It uses the spinning side brush to reach into every nook and corner to catch hold of every piece of dirt and dust that hides behind a pillar.
The Roomba 980 uses Tangle-free AeroForce extractors which are basically rubber grabbers that break down the dirt particles and debris from all types of floors and rugs. This ensures that whether it is a party with leftover pizza crumbs or a trip back from the beach, every dirt particle will be taken care of by Ms. Roomba 980!
With such innovation, the iRobot Roomba 980 can be certain that it will live up to its tag line of “the power to change the way you clean”.
