reliance jio lyf smartphones

Reliance Jio has brought the elements of nature as described in the Vedas to life. Beginning early this year, the Mukesh Ambani led conglomerate introduced the ‘LYF’ series of Smartphones, named after the elements found in nature: Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. Let’s dig a little further into this Earth, flame the Fire, gauge the Wind, and test the Water, shall we?

  • Earth 1

Take photos of Mother Nature with the wonderful 13MP camera which offers interesting modes such as ChromaFlash, Re-Focus, Fast-Focus, Foreground, and Optizoom. With the stylish aluminium alloy frame, 5.5”HD AMOLED display, a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor and 3GB RAM, you can’t say no to this Earth priced at Rs. 25,800.

  • Water 1

It’s named after the colourless liquid found in nature, so yeah, it sports a glass back finish! Sturdy and scratch- resistant, the phone sports a 5” screen. It is equipped with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. Water may be a force unto itself, but this Smartphone needs the Snapdragon 615 processor for power. Priced at Rs.17, 399, the Water 1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity.

  • Water 2

Slightly cheaper than Water 1, this phone comes with a price tag of Rs.15, 499. Water 2 has a sleek design with a matte finished body and uses retina scan to unlock the screen. The 5” screen phone also boasts of a 13MP Rear HDR camera, and a 5MP front one for selfies.

  • Flame 1

Better known for flawlessly captured selfies, this sizzling Flame is available for a price of Rs.6, 699. The screen is 5 inches wide and has an immersive and intuitive display. Packed with 5 MP cameras at the front and rear, features like face detection, Smile detection and the 6x zoom help you capture the perfect selfies.

  • Wind 6

The Wind 6 is the true show stopper of the series. Sporting a 5” screen, and priced at just under Rs.7, 500, the phone promises to become a favourite among the consumers. While it has a 5 MP camera for both its front and rear, the camera comes with a 6x zoom feature and face, blink and smile detection features. The powerful Wind comes with a powerful Quad-core processor, along with 1GB RAM.

These elements pack in some common features that are so far pretty uncommon in the market. We are referring to the Smartphones’ incorporating the new age technology of VoLTE and VoWi-Fi. Let me explain… we all make voice calls over the internet, don’t we? Save money and all, right? Thanks to these features of VoLTE and VoWi-FI, we can now make and connect such calls at a much higher speed than the usual speeds. We may have 4G, but most of these calls c

Connect using only 3G speeds. So basically it means that the whole of the Nature (read Earth, Water, Fire, Wind!) wants us to talk more! Well, wondering when Reliance Jio will launch a Smartphone named after the fifth element, ‘Aether’….
