Reliance Jio to launch Lyf Easy – the cheapest 4G smartphone at just Rs. 1000by Ryan Dsouza November 15, 2016
If you are a Reliance Jio customer, you are one of those lucky individuals enjoying free calls and cheap internet. With an intention to offer you something more than what it already is, Reliance Jio Lyf has decided to launch world’s most economic 4G smartphone priced at just Rs. 1000. No, it isn’t a typo. It’s 1,000 (one thousand) and not 10,000.
Jio plans to make the VoLTE (Voice over Long Term Evolution) technology accessible to everyone, including those living in the rural parts of India, at the lowest possible cost. Apart from being able to make free voice calls, the user is most likely to enjoy several other benefits, none of which are officially disclosed.
What Can You Expect?
If rumors are to be believed, the phone will be named as LYF Easy. However, no official reports on the same have yet been released by the company. The device is most likely to be powered by the Spreadtrum 9820 processor and might come with 512MB RAM to support your everyday browsing. With 5MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera, this device will definitely not disappoint you when it comes to capturing memories. No more details about the internal features have yet been disclosed, but the phone is sure to come packed with all the necessary features, including a large display, a good quality camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.
Why LYF Easy may rule the market?
Currently, it is hard to find a 4G-enabled phone that costs you less than Rs. 2500. Moreover, a price that low almost means sacrificing on most of the desired features. Reliance’s Jio LYF Easy aims to change all of this by offering the best at an unimaginably low price.
With its brand new offering, Reliance Jio plans to target the rural population that cannot afford a high-end smartphone. However, at this point in time, it is hard to say how successful the strategy would turn out to be. So, let’s wait and watch. We will keep you updated as and when we hear about the LYF Easy in future. Stay tuned.
