The Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched in India on February 28th with a starting price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the base variant of 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. Whereas the top variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 16,999.
The Galaxy M30 price starts at Rs. 14,990 for the base variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The price goes up to Rs. 17,000 for the top variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. The phone can be purchased from Amazon.in and Smasung.com.
The Realme 3 Pro comes in two variants. The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999. Whereas its top variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage carries a price tag of Rs. 16,999

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a completely revamped design compared to previous Redmi Note phones and the most noticeable change is the glass back. It comes with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front as well as back. The Realme 3 Pro is designed, thanks to its very catchy two-tone colour and DewDrop-notch screen with thin bezels on the base. Overall, the phone has a pretty solid build for a mid-range device. The Galaxy M30 follows design language that is similar to Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. It has a teardrop notch at the top which Samsung refers to as the Infinity-U display. It features a plastic unibody with curved sides making it comfortable to hold in the hand.
In terms of colours, there are three options available with Redmi Note 7 Pro- Space Black, Neptune Blue and Nebula Red. Samsung is offering gradient colour options on the Galaxy M30 – Gradation Black and Gradation Blue. The Realme 3 Pro comes in Carbon Grey, Nitro Blue, and Lightning Purple colour options with a gradient finish.
In terms of display, the Redmi Note 7 Pro sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display has a U-shaped notch at the top that the company calls ‘Dot-notch’, thin bezels on all sides, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The Galaxy M30 comes with a slightly larger 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a U-shaped (Infinity-U) notch on the top. The Realme 3 Pro features a 6.3-inch display with FHD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, up to 400 nits of brightness and a screen-to-body ratio of over 90 per cent. The display gets a dewdrop notch at the top and a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. All three phones come equipped with almost the same size display, however the Galaxy M30 gets a slight edge over the other two, thanks to its Super AMOLED display.
In terms of dimensions, the Redmi Note 7 Pro measures 159.2 x 75.2 x 8.1 mm and it weighs about 186 grams. The dimensions of the Realme 3 Pro are 156.8 x 74.2 x 8.3 mm, and it weighs 172 grams. The Redmi Note 7 Pro draws its power from 2.0 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 671 AIE SoC paired with an Adreno 612 GPU clocking up to 845 MHz. There are two options in terms of memory- 4 GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. The storage can be expanded further up to 256 GB using a microSD card.
The Galaxy M30 is powered by the octa-core Exynos 7904 processor paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. There are two options in terms of internal storage- 64GB and 128GB.
The Realme 3 Pro octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz, ticking alongside Adreno 616 GPU. In terms of memory, there’s up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of inbuilt storage.
In terms of performance, both Realme 3 Pro as well as Redmi Note 7 Pro are almost at par with each other. However, the Realme 3 Pro gets a slight upper hand due to its more power-efficient Adreno 616 which enhances gaming experience. Needless to mention, the Galaxy M30 lags behind in this department.

In terms of software, the Redmi Note 7 Pro boots MIUI 10 based on Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box. The Galaxy M30 runs on Samsung Experience 9.5 UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo, while the Realme 3 Pro runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie OS.

However, it is the Galaxy M30 that emerges as a winner here as the phone is kept alive by a massive 5,000mAh capacity battery and also has support for fast charging facilitated by the bundled 15W charger. It is company’s first smartphone to support VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The battery can charge from zero to 100 per cent in just 80 minutes as claimed by the company.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro bears a dual rear camera set up comprising of a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor + a 5MP secondary sensor. The front hosts a 13MP AI selfie camera that is housed inside the notch.
The Galaxy M30 comes equipped with a vertically stacked triple camera setup on the back that comprises of a 13-megapixel primary RGB sensor with f/1.9 aperture + a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture + a third 5-megapixel ultra wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor on the front that has support for selfie focus.

The Realme 3 Pro gets a slight upper hand due to its impressive 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Redmi Note 7 Pro scores a bit more in the camera department due to its 48-megapixel primary snapper.
