Redmi K30s Announced As A Rebranded Mi 10T, Will Feature SD 865 and 144 Hz Display
In the global market, the Chinese tech baron Xiaomi revealed Mi 10T series in September this year. The series included Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and a more affordable Mi 10T Lite. From the lineup, the Mi 10T’s standard and the pro variant was revealed in the Indian market earlier this month. In a recent event, Redmi introduced a new variant in its K-series smartphones. The brand revealed K30S in the Chinese market as a rebranded Mi 10T.
The smartphone is introduced as one of the most affordable options with the high-end Snapdragon 865 onboard. With a 64MP primary camera, the smartphone packs a huge 5,000 mAh battery and 144 Hz display.
Redmi K30S: Key specs and features
Xiaomi’s auxiliary brand Redmi has equipped K30S with a big 6.67” IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. The smartphone comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and the resolution is Full HD+. Redmi K30S also comes with HDR10+ support with a high refresh rate that can go up to 144 Hz. The smartphone is a Gorilla Glass 5 sandwich and it will keep it safe from all accidental scratches. The punch-hole cutout will house a 20MP selfie snapper.
Coming to the primary optics on the rear, Redmi K30S sports a 64MP Sony sensor paired with a 123-degree ultra-wide 13MP sensor. There will also be a 5MP macro lens. The smartphone boots on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on the top.
K30S will draw its power with the very capable Snapdragon 865 paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The RAM options go all the way up to 12GB. The internal storage options will be 128GB and 256GB. There is no microSD card slot to expand the storage. With fast-charging support up to 33W, Redmi K30S sports a gigantic 5,000 mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, Redmi is offering dual nano-SIM, 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 6, NFC, USB Type-C, stereo speakers, integrated GPS, and an FP scanner on the right side. There is no 3.5mm audio port on the smartphone.
Pricing and availability
Redmi K30S is unveiled in 2 colors, Lunar Silver and Cosmic Black. There will be 2 storage variants, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. The smartphone is priced at RMB 2599 and RMB 2799, respectively. In terms of Indian pricing, it will roughly translate to ₹28,600 and ₹30,900, respectively.
