The highlights of the device include Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, Adreno 640 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and triple rear camera set up. The newly launched phone is an attempt to capture the consumers who are willing to spend slightly more than a typical Redmi device to get flagship grade experience. On the same day that Redmi K20 Pro was launched, another Chinese smartphone maker Oppo also launched its flagship Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition in India. The biggest highlight of the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition is of course its 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom. Some of the other highlights of the phone include Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and 4,065mAh capacity battery with VOOC 3.0 support. Considering the price and specs, both these phones are expected to give a stiff competition to Oneplus 7 Pro that was launched earlier this month alongside Oneplus 7. The Redmi K20 Pro Redmi K20 price in China starts at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,200) for the base variant with 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The mid variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 21,200) and the top variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage is priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 26,200). The first sale of the Redmi K20 Pro will take place on June 1 in China. The phone will be offered in three colour options– Glacier Blue, Flame Red and Carbon Black. There are no details available yet regarding the availability of the phone in Indian market

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 39,990 for the base variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. Whereas, the top variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage has been priced at Rs. 49,990.

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes in three colour options- Mirror Grey, Almond and Nebula Blue. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 48,999, while the mid variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 52,999. The top variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 57,999 and it will be available only in Nebula Blue colour option.

In terms of design, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom sports a glass and metal sandwich body design. It is the only device currently available in the market to sport the unique ‘shark fin’ design for its motorised pop-up selfie camera module, which makes it look a bit trendy. The Redmi K20 Pro has a also featires a glass and metal body with a 3D gradient design. It has a full-screen display with minimal bezels, courtesy its pop-up selfie camera. The Oneplus 7 Pro is company’s first smartphone to feature a triple rear camera module and a pop-up selfie camera. The device gets a gradient colour paint job making it look a bit striking.

The Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ screen with 1080×2340 pixel screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.9 percent screen to body ratio, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The dimensions of the phone are 156.7 x 74.3 x 8.8 mm and it weighs 191 grams.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom comes equipped with a 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display with FHD+ (1080X2340) resolution and 387 ppi offering 93.1 screen ratio. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 162 x 77.2 x 9.3 mm and weighs 210 grams.

The Oneplus 7 Pro gets a slightly larger 6.67-inch Quad HD+ (1440×3120 pixels) AMOLED display with absolutely no notch, thin bezels and curved edges. The display has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, a pixel density of 516ppi and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The company claims it has received a A+ rating from DisplayMate. In terms of dimensions, it measures 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8 mm and its weight is about 206 grams. The back panel of the phone is constructed of Gorilla Glass 5.

All three phones have almost similar screen size and feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus 7 Pro gets a marginal edge over the other two due to its slightly larger display and better screen resolution. In terms of dimensions, the Redmi K20 Pro is the slimmest as well as the lightest of the three devices.

The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset that Xiaomi claims to have managed to achieve an AnTuTu score of 388,803. This is coupled with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage it gets four variants- 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt, 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom draws its power from an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. It has 128GB and 256GB of inbuilt storage options.

The Oneplus 7 Pro is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with the Adreno 640 GPU and up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. In terms of memory variants there are three options- 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage.

The K20 Pro has a 4000mAh battery underneath to keep things ticking that Xiaomi says can deliver more than a day’s power. It also gets support for 27W fast charging support that can charge the battery within 50 minutes. The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is fueled by a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support, while the Oneplus 7 Pro packs a 4,000mAh battery, with Warp Charge 30 fast charging (5V/ 6A) that’s said to be 38 percent faster than previous generations.

There’s no clear in this department as all three phones are backed by almost similar capacity battery and support fast charging.

In terms of software, the K20 Pro runs on Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box with company’s own MIUI 10 on top. The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom runs ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie, whereas the OnePlus 7 Pro runs OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The K20 Pro an AI-powered triple rear camera setup which comprises of a 48-megapixel primary shooter with Sony IMX586 sensor and an f/1.75 lens + a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with a wide-angle lens, + a third 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.4 lens. The front hosts a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom also has a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 (0.5-inch) sensor with an f/1.7 lens + a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a periscope telephoto lens on top + an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with a super wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel camera housed in a pop-up mechanism.

The Oneplus 7 Pro also consists of a triple rear camera set up consisting of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as its primary camera, with an f/1.6 aperture + a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture + an 8-megapixel third camera with a telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom, an f/2.4 aperture. The front hosts a 16-megapixel selfie camera sitting on a motorised pop-up camera.

In terms of camera, all three phones have a similar triple rear camera set up. The K20 Pro has a slightly better selfie camera with 20MP as compared to the other two phones that feature 16Mp selfie cameras. It is recommended to refer actual user reviews to get clarity on actual camera output.
