Realme X Spiderman Edition With Limited Edition Themes And Special Retail Box To Launch On July 9

Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home special edition has been announced in China. Realme has collaborated with Sony Pictures to launch the new Realme X model in the country. The special edition smartphone will go on sale in China on July 9. The configuration that the smartphone will be available in is with 8GB of RAM complemented by 128 GB storage.

In a separate development, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has teased the arrival of the Spider-Man-themed Realme X through his Twitter handle Twitter. However, the brand has not yet confirmed the launch of the new Realme X model in India.

As per the Weibo post that made the announcement, the Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home special edition will be made available for purchase in a custom gift box. The sale of the smartphone will take place from 10 am onwards for the above-mentioned configuration. This will be the only configuration in which the smartphone will currently be available. The special edition smartphone will retail at a price of CNY 1,799, which roughly converts to Rs. 18,100.

As it is a special edition smartphone, the new Realme X model is likely to be available in limited quantities only. The smartphone will be contextually launched alongside the global release of the Spider-Man: Far From Home due to which there is a lot of buzz that is expected around the smartphone.

The Realme X was launched in China last month. The smartphone was soon expected to be launched in the Indian market. However, as per Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, the smartphone may arrive in India only in the later part of the year. Madhav also did spill the beans on a special variant of the new Realme phone that will be launched for the Indian customers. This will be launched in India along with the highly anticipated Onion and Garlic variants of the smartphone.

Realme X price

The Realme X price in China starts at CNY 1,499 which roughly converts to Rs. 15,000. The configuration of the smartphone available at this price is 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the smartphone is priced at CNY 1,599 which roughly converts to Rs. 16,100. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model will retail at CNY 1,799 which converts to approximately Rs. 18,100.

Realme X specifications

The Realme X runs the ColorOS 6.0 which is based on Android Pie. It features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display screen. The 1080×2340 pixels AMOLED display comes with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and it offers Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In the camera department, the Realme X is equipped with a dual rear camera setup. It comprises of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. As for the selfie camera, the smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel shooter that has an f/2.0 lens and comes in a pop-up module.

The Realme X is powered by a battery of capacity 3,765mAh. The battery comes with support for VOOC 3.0 which enables fast charging. As for its connectivity, the smartphone can seamlessly connect via options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and Dolby Atmos audio.
