
Realme Phones Will Now be Sold via Official Online Store and Select Offline Stores
Oppo launched its sub-brand Realme in May 2018. Since then the company has launched 4 new smartphones dubbed as Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1. The Realme 1 is sold exclusively on Amazon.in while the other phones are sold exclusively via Flipkart.com. Now the Realme’s CEO Madhav Sheth has announced that these Realme phones will also be sold via Realme’s online store starting today i.e. November 1. At the time of writing this article, the company has listed Realme 2 and Realme 2 Pro on the site. In addition, the company is also looking to expand its reach by entering the offline sector. It has partnered with Reliance Digital and My Jio to sell its phones offline starting this Diwali.
“Through this partnership, we want to cater to the audience who does not have an access to the online platform and who want to compare and understand before making any decisions”, said Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer of Realme India while commenting on the partnership.
Oppo’s sub-brand Realme which is being separated from the parent company has made a name for itself in the mid-range smartphone segment since its inception about 5 month ago. The company has created a milestone of selling over a million devices in just four days during the recently concluded Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sales.

The Realme 1, the first smartphone by Realme, is priced at Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs. 13,990 for the 6GB RAM variant. The 3GB variant of the phone is discontinued after the launch of Realme 2. The Realme 1 features 6-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor. There are two options in terms of inbuilt storage- 64GB and 128GB. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and is backed by a 3,410mAh battery. It features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera which is backed by AI.
The Realme 2 is priced at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It features 6.2-inch HD+ notched display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and 4230mAh battery. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 operating system out of the box and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU.
The Realme 2 Pro comes in three variants. The base variant i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 13,990, the mid variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 15,990 and the top variant i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 17,990. It features 6.3-inch FHD+ display and runs ColorOS 5.2 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box. The dual-SIM phone is fueled by 3,500mAh battery and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660AIE chipset. In the camera department, you get 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera.
The Realme C1 is launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 6999 which will be applicable till the ongoing Diwali shopping season ends. It features a 6.2-inch display with iPhone X like notch at the top, 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera, 5MP selfie camera with AI Face Unlock and 4230mAh battery. The dual-SIM phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 16GB which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSd card.
