Earlier, the Chinese tech tycoon Realme stepped in the Indian television market with its Android v9 based Realme TV in two size variants, 32” and 43”. This latest addition from the brand will be a premium segment model and will be the world’s first TV with SLED technology onboard. The TV is named Realme SLED TV. The device is manufactured in collaboration with Spectral Power Distribution (SPD) Tech’s chief scientist John Rooymans.
Realme 55” SLED TV: Key specs & features
The premium offering from Realme is going to be the world’s first TV based on the SLED technology. Along with all the top-notch specs, Realme SLED TV will sport a 55” panel and the resolution will go all the way up to 4K. It will be quite exciting to see what actually SLED means and how it will work.
On the Realme SLED TV page on the brand’s website, the company has said that all the QLED and LED TVs use blue backlighting which later turns into white after going through the quantum dots. The SLED, on the other hand, will produce RGB backlighting. The company claims it will not only reduce the harmful blue light, but it will also offer a wider color gamut.
On the website, Realme claims to equip its SLED TV with 108% NTSC ultrawide color gamut along with an advanced Super Color Tone technology. As an additional eye safety feature, Realme has also got the TV certified from TÜV Rheinland for lower blue light. As of now, there are no details available regarding the processor or any other specification. In regard to the earlier Realme TVs, we can say that this premium offering will retain Google Assistant along with an integrated Chromecast.
Pricing & availability
Realme hasn’t yet made any announcement regarding the pricing of the Realme SLED TV. However, we can confirm that it will be launched in the Indian market soon as the Realme India CEO Madhav S teased the television in one of his tweets.
