The Realme 8 series which includes Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro is launching at 19:30 HRS sharp on March 24. The launch for the Indian market is anticipated for a long time now and the Chinese tech giant has finally unveiled the details. The smartphone is up for pre-orders and customers can buy it from Flipkart, as well as Realme’s online store.

Steps to pre-book Realme 8 series

As an introductory offer, the Realme 8 series’ buyers will be able to buy the Realme Buds Air Neo at a discounted price. The discount will only apply once the smartphone is delivered. The discount offer will be given to customers as a push notification and will also be available in the My Coupons section. The offer/coupon will only be valid for 10 days after the delivery.

Steps to pre-order:

1. On the e-commerce platform Flipkart or Realme’s online store, you will need to go to the Infinity Sale banner.
2. Once the Realme store loads, click on Pay Deposit to pre-order the device you want to buy. The deposit will be an amount of ₹1,080.
3. If you are buying it from Flipkart, you will need to click on Register Now For Infinity Sale.
4. The page will redirect you to buy a gift card amounting ₹1,080 to pre-book Realme 8 or 8 Pro.
5. Once done, customers will be able to buy the smartphone in the first sale, i.e. Mar 24.

Realme 8 series: Rumored specs & features

The Chinese tech giant is expected to offer a 60Hz display on Realme 8 with an AMOLED 6.4” panel that will produce FHD+ resolution. At its core, the smartphone will sport Helio G95 SoC that will draw its power from a huge 5,000 mAh battery. It will support 30W Dart Charge tech. Coming to the optics, the standard Realme 8 will come with a 64MP sensor housed in a quad-camera setup. There are a few rumors that the smartphone will come in two variants, 4GB RAM & 6GB RAM. The onboard storage will be 128GB on both the variants. The color options that Realme might reveal are Cyber Black and Cyber Silver.

Moving on towards the Pro version, the speculations indicate an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a primary 108MP camera. The 4,500mAh battery will support fast charging of 65W and on the software side, Realme 8 Pro will boot on Android 11. Realme has managed to offer a very slim profile at just 8.1mm and the overall weight is also just 176 grams with a very balanced weight distribution. The variants that will see the light of the day are 6+128GB and 8+128GB combinations. The color options that you will get here are also a tad vibrant such as Illuminating Yellow, Infinite Black, and Infinite Blue. A few rumors also indicate a third smartphone, Realme 8 Pro 5G version. However, there is no official confirmation regarding its reveal on 24^th of March.

Pricing & availability

The brand released a teaser video featuring Salman Khan where it gave hints of the launch date, i.e., March 24. On March 15, Realme confirmed the date and also opened the pre-booking window. The Infinity Sale will be live until March 22 and customers can pre-order it through Flipkart, as well as Realme online store. The pre-order window is for Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro. There are no further details available regarding the pricing.
