Realme had announced its Realme Buds in November alongside the MediaTek Helio P70-powered Reame U1 (review) smartphone. The earphones were initially set to go on sale with the handset. However, it did not happen. The company’s CEO Madhav Sheth has now confirmed that the Realme Buds will be available for sale in India in January 2019.

Sheth made the details public during a session wherein he was addressing user queries. The session was called the #AskMadhav video series. He further revealed that the audio accessories will be available on e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Amazon, and Realme.com.

The Realme Buds comes with a price tag of Rs 499. The earphones come with 11mm audio drivers which will enhance the performance and provide 160 percent louder bass as per the company. The buds come with a magnet that enable the users to place them together around their neck while not in use.

The 1.25-metre cable on the earphones has a Kevlar finish that makes it more durable. The pair comes with a three-button remote that enables users to control audio and playback. The middle button on the pair can enable users to quickly access Google Assistant.

Realme is a new brand that made its entry into the Indian smartphone market in early 2018. The company has launched devices such as Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme C1 since its launch. The company has priced its product aggressively to cater to a price sensitive audience and garner market share.
