The official launch date of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 in India has been announced by the Chinese tech giant. The latest addition to the brand’s lineup will come next in line with last year’s GT Neo 2.

The brand will be hosting an online-only event and it will be live streamed through Realme’s YT channel along with social media platforms. The smartphone is already on sale in Realme’s home market and the experts speculate that it will be launched with the same spec-sheet.

Realme is launching the device next week on Friday, April 29 at 1230 HRS.

Realme GT Neo 3: Expected specifications & features

The experts are claiming that the smartphone will be highly similar to its Chinese counterpart. In its home market, the Realme GT Neo 3 sports a larger 6.7” AMOLED panel that will produce FHD+ resolution. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner and the panel will come with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the front, the smartphone carries a 16MP sensor whereas the primary rear-facing camera module is going to be a triple-camera system. It will house a 50-megapixel main camera paired with an 8-megapixel and 2MP sensors for ultra-wide and macro photography, respectively.

At its core, the upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 is expected to feature a Dimensity 8100 SoC. The smartphone will carry up to 12 gigs of high-speed LPDDR5 memory and the onboard storage will go up to UFS 3.1 256GB. There will be two variants available to the buyers, one will support 80W fast charging on a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh whereas the elder sibling will have the 150W charging support with a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh.

Launch date is confirmed by Realme

The Chinese brand has given us a design sneak peek in its announcement tweet. The design looks identical with that of the Chinese variant. The rectangular optical housing on the rear will come with a two-strip design below it to add a sportier look. The upcoming Realme offering will also boast to be the debut smartphone with 150W charging support.

The brand claims that this cutting-edge technology will offer 0 to 50% charge in 5 minutes. There is a bit of confusion among the tech experts, Realme might not launch the younger lower battery capacity variant in the Indian market.
