Realme 3 Pro to Launch in India on April 22: Will Compete with Redmi Note 7 Pro

Earlier last month, Realme launched its Realme 3 smartphone in India priced at Rs. 8,999. At the time of launch, the company also announced the Realme 3 Pro and it has been teasing the same since then. Now, the company has confirmed the launch date Realme 2 Pro’s successor in India as April 22. Realme India boss Madhav Sheth took to twitter to make the announcement. The phone will be launched at an event to be held in Delhi University.


The Realme 3 Pro is expected to compete against the Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone. The latter was launched last month in the country with Snapdragon 675, Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor, and is priced starting at Rs. 13,999.

There is not much known officially about the Realme 3 Pro but based on the past leaks and rumours, the phone is expected to come with powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor along with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. It could sport a glass sandwich design and a waterdrop-style notch display. Unlike the Realme 3 that features HD+ resolution, the Realme 3 Pro will feature full HD+ resolution with 6.3-inch display size. In terms of software, the device may run Oppo’s custom skin ColorOS based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The battery capacity of the device is expected to be around 4,000mAh and it is expected to carry support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. In terms of optics, there’s a 25-megapixel selfie shooter and a dual camera setup with a Sony IMX519 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
