Recently, Vivo launched its Y93 smartphone in the country with a price tag of Rs. 13,990. The highlights of the device include HD+ Halo FullView display and MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Two of the closest competitors of the phone in India are Realme 2 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Vivo Y93 comes with a waterdrop notch design in addition to minimum bezels above and below the display. It features a polycarbonate body and boasts of a premium-looking gradient spraying on the back. The Realme 2 Pro is also made out of polycarbonate, but the back panel has a glass-like finish that makes it look quite attractive. It comes with a double curved edge design which gives a bezel-less appearance. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro looks quite identical to its predecessor Redmi Note 5. with round edges and curved sides which offer a firm grip.

The Vivo Y93 runs Android 8.1 Oreo on top of FunTouch OS 4.5 and is fueled by a 4,030mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box. It is backed by a massive 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support, which is capable of lasting up to two days under heavy usage as claimed by the company.

The Realme 2 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 AIE processor. In terms of memory there are three options available for the users- 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The Vivo Y93 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 in India along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro draws power from a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor paired with Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of memory, there’s 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB.
So, Realme 2 Pro is the clear winner in terms of performance, thanks to a more powerful Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset and up to 8GB of RAM.

The Realme 2 Pro features a dual camera module on the back that consists of a dual 16MP IMX 398 sensors with f/.17 aperture. The front bears a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo Y93 also comes with a dual rear camera set up comprising of 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture + a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor at the front paired with an f/1.8 aperture. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is equipped with a primary sensor of 12-megapixel with Dual Pixel autofocus and f/1.9 aperture and a secondary sensor of 5-megapixel for depth sensing. Realme 2 Pro base variant i.e. 4GB of RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 13,990, the mid variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 15,990 and the top variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs. 17,990. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

Although Xiaomi is a market leader, it is still not the winner in this case as its Chinese counterparts are giving it a tough competition. The Vivo Y93 is a good looking device with an impressive battery back up. The Realme 2 Pro is a winner in terms of performance due to its combination of powerful chipset and RAM. While, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is a good option for camera buffs. In terms of pricing, all three phones are almost at par with each other, so that cannot be a differentiating factor. Our vote still goes to Realme 2 Pro.
