Oppo’s online only brand Realme held an event at Amity University, Noida to launch its two new smartphones dubbed as Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1. It is clear from the company’s choice of venue for the launch event that its target audience is the young India.

Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1 Price and Availability in India:

The Realme 2 Pro will come in three variants. The base variant i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 13,990 and the middle variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 15,990. The top variant i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs. 17,990. The phone will be shipped in three colour options- Ice Lake, Blue Ocean and Black Sea. It will go on sale exclusively via eCommerce giant Flipkart.com on 11th October i.e. during its Big Billion Day’s sale. Notable, the Realme 2 will be the first Realme handset which will be made available outside of India as well. However, exact details on the global rollout will be announced in next month i.e. October

The Realme C1 comes in a single variant i.e. 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage and is priced at Rs. 6,999. However, this is a limited period launch price and may change soon. The phone will start selling along with Realme 2 Pro from October 11 at 12 noon via Flipkart.com. There will be two colour options available for the buyers- Ocean Blue and Deep Black.

Realme 2 Pro Features and Specifications:

The Realme 2 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and pixel density of 409 PPI. The display features a unique water drop shaped notch at the top which houses the selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 4GB or 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There two options in terms of internal storage- 64GB and 128GB. The storage can be increased up to 256GB using a microSD card. The dual-SIM device runs ColorOS 5.2 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and is backed by a 3,500mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the phone features a horizontally stacked dual camera set up on the rear which consists of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size + 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera features AI Beauty 2.0 for enhanced selfies. The selfie camera also doubles up as Face Unlock. In addition, there’s a rear mounted fingerprint sensor for added security.

The connectivity features included in Realme 2 Pro are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, Micro-USB, Active 4G on both SIM cards, 3G and 4G. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 156.70 x 74.00 x 8.50 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs about 174 grams.

Realme C1Realme C1 Features and Specifications:

The Realme C1 is the most affordable smartphone in the Realme lineup. It features a 6.2-inch notched display an aspect ratio of 19:9 resulting into screen-to-body ratio of 88.8 per cent. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer for protection against scratches and damages. The phone will draw power from an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. There is an option to expand the storage up to 256GB by means of a microSD card. It runs on runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and packs 4,230mAh battery.

In the camera department, you get a dual rear camera set up with a combination of 13MP primary lens and a 2MP secondary lens. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera with AI backed face unlock feature. However, the phone lacks fingerprint sensor.
