Razer, the California based company is known for computer components designed for the gamers. It makes keyboards, headphones, consoles, and even gaming laptops. Now, it seems the ‘Green Vipers’ logo will soon appear on the hottest product category, smartphones. The house of Razer Inc. is prepping up to launch its Android-based gaming phone on November 1.
Although the nomenclature and specifications are not yet revealed by the company, the smartphone codenamed as “Razer Phone” was spotted on the GFXBench benchmarking site. As per the website, the smartphone is set to receive flagship grade specifications. To start with, it features a 5.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 2,560×1,440 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is powered by an octa-core 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC processor, which also underpins the Samsung S8, Mi Mix 2, and Nokia 8. In terms of storage, the device features a bonkers 8 GB of RAM and is coupled with 64 GB of internal storage. The storage space is likely to be further expandable via the microSD card slot.
On the photography front, the Razer Phone flaunts a 12 MP rear camera that offers 4K video recording. For selfies, there is an 8 MP front camera. The smartphone may ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with some custom skin from Razer.
