In the dynamic market of Smartphones, the consumer gets to see newer and better products every few weeks. Brands like Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Microsoft, Acer, and Sony have been known to rule the market with their amazing range of products. However, now there is an addition to the market with Lenovo coming out with all guns blazing. Although quite an old brand, Lenovo has starting making its mark in the Smartphone segment with its recent launch of the Lenovo ‘A’ series phones. Its massive popularity and almost magical sales online has led to an increased interest in its upcoming launch- the Lenovo A5000.

The A5000 can be preordered at the Lenovo store named ‘TheDoStore’ with shipping expected to start from 30th April. The USP of the Smartphone is undoubtedly its massive battery capacity of 4000mAh. With the company claiming that the phone can last for 33.5 days on standby and is capable of 35 hours of talktime, prospective users who long for a strong battery are in for a treat.

The phone which was first launched in Russia a few days back, is priced at Rs.9,999/-. As mentioned previously, its main selling point will be its battery, which enables a talk time of 17 hours on 3G network. The Quick Charge feature of the phone allows the battery to be completely recharged in 3 hours. For a quick 15 minute recharge, the user can get up to 4 hours of talktime.

The dual SIM phone runs on the Android KitKat. It sports a 5″ HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a pixel density of 300ppi. For an added measure of durability, it has rain and splash proof screen protection.

On the technical front, the A5000 is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor and 1GB of RAM for fluid multitasking. For gaming enthusiasts, the phone has Mali T760-MP2 GPU. For the user’s storage needs, it has 8GB of internal memory, which can be supplemented by another 32GB using a microSD card. The rear camera is 8MP with LED flash and autofocus features. The front camera is a decent enough 2MP that will appeal to selfie lovers. The front camera coupled with 3G connectivity will also enhance the video calling experience.

The dimensions of the Smartphone are 140x 71.4 x 9.98mm. It weighs only 160 gms, which makes it one of the lightest phones available in the market today. For connectivity, it offers 3G and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth. Regrettably, it does not support 4G but it more than makes up for it with it awesome performance and spectacular battery life. The phone will be available in black and white colors.

The fact that Lenovo is an established name in the technology market, the new A5000 phone is sure to help the brand’s cause and get more and more customers to its online stores. Also, with the competition in the Smartphone market stiff, Lenovo A5000 with its inexpensive pricing it is going to give a tough run for the competitors money.
