The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is all confirmed to bring a range of devices to the Indian market. In November, the brand revealed multiple devices as successors to its last year’s models. For the global market, POCO M3 was launched officially and Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 9 line up including Note 9 4G, Note 9 5G, and Note 9 Pro 5G in its home market. Now, there are some leaks that indicate Indian availability of these smartphones with bynames.

Going further in detail, the Chinese variant Redmi Note 9 4G will arrive here under the name Redmi 9 Power whereas the Note 9 Pro 5G will come as Xiaomi Mi 10i. There are also some expectations of POCO M3 to be revealed as well. In some markets outside China, Redmi Note 9T will be launched as a rebranded Redmi Note 9 5G.

These bynames are spotted on multiple platforms such as FCC, Google Play console, and Google Support Device list, as well. To spot them yourself, you will have to pay attention to the model numbers. The model number of smartphones launched by Xiaomi for Chinese, Indian, and global markets will have the letter C, I, and G, respectively at the end.

POCO M3, Redmi 9T, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 9 Power: Key specs & features

Earlier, the two model numbers M2010J19CG and M2010J19CT were launched globally as POCO M3. Now, the Google Support Device list has shown its Indian version with the model number M2010J19CI, it indicates the brand will reveal it soon here.

Another smartphone Redmi Note 9 4G was launched in Xiaomi’s home market with the model number M2010J19SC. On Google’s Support Device list and Play Console, the Indian version is spotted with the number M2010J19SI. It is expected to come as Redmi 9 Power.

We have seen through the FCC listing that the POCO M3 (model number M2010J19SG) will come as Redmi Note 9T outside China. Through these listings, we found out that Redmi Note 9T, POCO M3, and Redmi Note 9 4G (Indian Redmi 9 Power) are almost identical in terms of hardware/software specs. The only change you will see is with the optical setup.

POCO M3 will sport a triple-camera system that will house a primary sensor of 48MP. It will come paired with dual 2MP sensors. Coming to the Redmi Note 9 4G/Redmi 9 Power’s optics, it will also sport a 48MP sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensors. Users will get to see the quad-camera setup on the Redmi Note 9T where the primary camera will be a 48MP lens coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. There will also be dual 2MP lenses for depth and macro shots.

Redmi 9 Power is expected to sport a big 6.53” LCD panel. The resolution will be FullHD+ with an 8MP waterdrop notch selfie camera. At its core, Redmi 9 Power will have Snapdragon 662 and the whole package will be backed up by a 6,000 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 18W.

Xiaomi Mi 10i: Expected byname for Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G for India

For the global market, the Chinese giant introduced a range of devices such as Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite in September this year. The globally launched Mi 10T Lite, M2007J17G, was rebranded as Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G with the model number M2007J17C for the brand’s home market. The latest spotting of the model number M2007J17I on Google’s Play Console and Support Device List indicates that the upcoming Mi 10i will be identical with the Chinese Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

The Indian variant Mi 10i will sport a higher 120Hz refresh rate on the 6.67” FullHD+ panel. The smartphone will draw its power from Snapdragon 750G and the camera module will sport the world’s first 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor. The selfie camera will be a 16MP one. With rapid charging support up to 33W, the Mi 10i will house a 4820mAh battery.

Redmi Note 9T: Expected byname for Redmi Note 9 5G

A new model number M2007J22G has been spotted on the certification websites in Thailand, as well as Malaysia. The model number will be named Redmi Note 9T and it’s the same device launched globally as Redmi Note 9 5G.

However, it’s not quite clear yet whether Redmi Note 9T will be introduced to the Indian market or not. This smartphone packs a Full HD+ screen on a 6.53” panel. The chipset on board is MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U. The optical configuration will triple-camera with a 48MP main sensor and 13MP selfie snapper. The battery capacity will be 5,000 mAh with quick charge support up to 18W.
