The Chinese tech giant has unveiled its all-new 5G-equipped POCO X4 Pro for the Indian market on Monday. The smartphone will be next in line with last year’s POCO X3 Pro and there are a few significant upgrades. The latest addition to the brand’s lineup will sport a 120Hz AMOLED panel with fast charging support up to 67W.

On the front, the panel will come with a punch-hole cutout that will be aligned to the center. The smartphone will sport a fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button. POCO X4 Pro 5G: Key specs & features

With a 6.67” AMOLED panel, the all-new X4 Pro 5G will come with a peak brightness of 1200 nits and the screen refresh rate will be 120Hz. The display will produce FHD+ panel and POCO is offering DCI-P3 color calibration. The smartphone will come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. The touch sampling rate on this POCO device will be 360Hz.

Moving to the rear, the gigantic camera module will house a triple-camera system with a primary 64 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. It will be accompanied by an ultra-wide 8 megapixel and macro 2 megapixel sensors. On the front, the punch-hole cutout will be the home to a 16MP f/2.4 selfie snapper.

At its core, the POCO X4 Pro 5G will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 CPU accompanied by Adreno 619 for graphics. On the 5G front, it will support a total of 7 bands. The smartphone will go up to 8 gigs of memory and 128 GB of onboard storage. It can be further expanded using a microSD card. Coming to the software, it will boot on MIUI 13 on top of Android 11.

A few key features that are worth mentioning are IR blaster, dual speaker setup, and a 3.5mm audio port. The whole package will be backed up by a 5,000 mAh battery unit. In terms of connectivity, POCO is offering Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, 5G, Type-C port, and GPS. The smartphone will also come with liquid cooling technology for better performance. With all this packaged in a slim design, the latest POCO weighs 205 grams.

A Brief Comparison With POCO X3 Pro

The primary difference between the two in terms of display is the upgrade to AMOLED panel. The all-new POCO X4 Pro will offer an enhanced viewing experience. The chipset on the POCO X3 Pro was SD 860 whereas the latest offering will sport SD 695. It’s more power efficient and handles day to day tasks in a much better way.

Moving to the optical setup, the primary camera has also been given an upgrade from 48MP to 64MP. On the front, last year’s variant had a 20MP sensor, whereas this year, it’s 16MP. The biggest upgrade is seen in terms of charging speeds. It’s 67W now compared to X3 Pro’s 33W. The capacity remains almost the same with the former having a bit bigger with 160mAh.

Pricing and availability

The latest POCO X4 Pro 5G will be available in Laser Black, Yellow, and Laser Blue colors. It will be offered in three storage combinations of 6/64GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB priced at ₹18,999, ₹19,999, and ₹21,999, respectively. The first sale will commence on April 5 through Flipkart.
