Panasonic has launched a refreshed version of its popular Lumix FZ1000 superzoom camera. It will go on sale at the end of March or first week of April. The Lumix FZ1000 II comes with Bluetooth connectivity and a touchscreen display in addition to all the features of its predecessor.

The camera will come with a price tag of around $900, which converts to around Rs. 64,000. Panasonic has also launched a new travel zoom camera that is called the Lumix TZ95 or Lumix ZS80 in the US. This camera comes with a 30x optical zoom and a compact body. It will be available in Black and Silver trims at a price of $449, which roughly converts to around Rs 31,970.

Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 II specifications

This camera sports a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch sensor. It comes with an optical zoom of 16x and a 35mm equivalent focal range of 25-400mm. The aperture of the camera ranges from f/2.8 at the wide to f/11 at the telephoto end. The camera offers features such as burst shooting of up to 12fps, a maximum native ISO of 12,800 which is expandable up to 25,600, 5-axis hybrid optical stabilisation and 4K video at a speed of up to 30fps. The Lumix FZ1000 II comes with a 3-inch fully articulating touchscreen LCD. The screen has over 1.25 million dot resolution and an OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF). It comes with a resolution of 2.36 million dots. The camera weighs around 831 grams. It features a new monochrome shooting mode and offers built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ95 is priced at $449 which converts to around Rs. 32,000. The Lumix TZ95 comes with a compact superzoom camera. It features a 20.3-megapixel. 1/2.3-inch sensor and its optical zoom is a commendable 30x. The optical zoom comes with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24mm-720mm. It also features 10 fps burst shooting to enable users to capture each delightful moment. The camera comes with a 3-inch tilting touchscreen and a EVF and 4K Photo mode. As for the connectivity, it can seamlessly connect over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The camera will compete with the likes of the Sony Cybershot DSC-WX800 which is comparable in terms of its superzoom capabilities as well as the price.
