Japanese electronics giant Panasonic has expanded its Eluga series of smartphones with the launch of two Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled handsets dubbed as Eluga Z1 and Eluga Z1 Pro. Both the smartphones come with notched display and are powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC.

Panasonic Eluga Z1 and Eluga Z1 Pro Price in India:

The Panasonic Eluga Z1 will come with a price tag of Rs. 14,490 and the Eluga Z1 Pro is priced at Rs. 17,490. The phones will go on sale starting October 31 via select retail outlets in the country. There are three colour options available for the interested buyers- Black, Gold and Blue.

The Eluga Z1 and Eluga Z1 Pro have a lot of specifications in common. Both the phones feature 6.29-inch HD+ display screen resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels and 2.5D curved glass display. The display features an iPhone X like wide notch at the top which houses the front camera along with some sensors. Under the hood, the phones are powered by 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Both the phones are dual-SIM and run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. They are fueled by 4,000mAh battery capacity. Connectivity options included in the phones are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, USB OTG support and a micro USB. For security purpose, the phones feature a rear mounted fingerprint sensor

In the camera department, you get a vertically stacked dual camera set up on the back which comprises of a 13-Megapixel primary sensor + 2 Megapixel secondary sensor. As mentioned earlier, the rear camera set up is backed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver great results. For selfies and video calls there’s an 8-Megapixel camera with LED flash and AI beautify. The front camera also supports Face Unlock. Some of the other features supported by camera are bokeh, time lapse, slow motion, beauty mode, backlight and live photos.

The difference between the two phones is in terms of RAM and storage. The Eluga Z1 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, while the Eluga Z1 Pro features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. There is an option to expand the storage further up to 128GB using a microSD card.
