Panasonic has unveiled a new smartphone for Indian market dubbed as Panasonic Eluga I7. The highlights of the phone are its 4,000mAh battery capacity and 5.45-inch “Big View” display with 18:9 aspect ratio. This is quite impressive considering the fact that the Eluga I7 is a budget smartphone.

“The new Eluga I7 with ‘Big View’ display is designed to target the youth, ensuring that the users get a seamless display experience,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head-Mobility Division of Panasonic India while commenting on the launch.

The Flipkart exclusive device is priced at Rs. 6,499 and will be available on the portal from 24 April. It will come in three colour variants- Blue, Black and Gold.

As mentioned earlier, one of the highlights of the phone is its “Big View” display. It sports an impressive a 5.45-inch Big View HD+ (720×1440 pixels) 2.5D curved with 18:9 aspect ratio. The dual-SIM phone will be powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737H SoC paired with 2GB RAM and will be shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 16GB which can be extended up to 128GB using a microSD card. The phone is backed by a massive 4,000mAh battery.

On the camera front, there is an 8MP primary sensor with autofocus and LED flash. The selfie camera is also 8MP and features an LED flash. There’s also fingerprint sensor for added security. In addition, there are features like “Trusted Face” recognition and “Trusted Voice” that allow the user to unlock the phone with either a glance or by just speaking into the device.

Panasonic also mentioned that it’s Artificial Intelligence-enabled “Arbo Hub” will be available on Eluga I7 through an over the air update (FOTA).
