There is a new selfie-expert on the block. Chinese handset-maker Oppo unveiled its latest smartphone, the Oppo F5. The successor of the Oppo F3 comes with selfie-centric hardware with a dash of AI (Artificial Intelligence). The Oppo F5 also features impressively thin bezels around the display.
The Oppo F5 features a 6-inch TFT display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. The Oppo F5 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek (MT6763T) chipset. It comes in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM.
The phone features a 20 MP sensor at the front with f/2.0 aperture. The large aperture captures more light and offers better results in not so bright lighting conditions. The rear camera is a 16 MP module. Connectivity options include A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
The handset runs on the company’s ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It measures 156.5x76x7.5mm and weighs in at 152 grams. It is backed by a 3200mAh battery under the hood.
The Oppo F5 is now up for pre-orders in Philippines. The 4 GB RAM version with 32 GB storage is priced at PHP 15,990 (roughly Rs 20,000). There’s no word on the pricing of the 6 GB RAM variant.
