The series was launched in the brand’s home market in May 2021 where Oppo has included three variants, Reno 6 5G along with its Pro and Pro+ variant. The Indian launch has only seen two of the younger siblings. Let’s dive into the details.

Oppo Reno 6 5G: Key specs & features

Oppo Reno 6 5G will come equipped with 128 GB of high-speed storage and 8 gigs of memory.

Coming to the optical setup, the rear will carry a triple camera system with a primary sensor of 64 MP, 8 MP ultra-wide, and a smaller 2 MP sensor for macro shots. The punch-hole display will house a 32 MP selfie-shooter. The device will boot on ColorOS 11.3 out of the box, which is a custom skin on top of Android 11.

Oppo’s Reno 6 5G will also sport a plethora of onboard sensors including ambient light, accelerometer, proximity, color temperature, z-axis linear motor, and gyroscope. The brand has also included an under-the-display fingerprint scanner. It managed to offer this feature-rich device at a minimal thickness of 7.59mm and the overall weight is just 182 grams. With support of SuperVOOC 2.0 that offers fast charging up to 65W, the battery capacity on Reno 6 5G is 4300 mAh. A few connectivity features are 5G support, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, and GPS.

Compared to its younger sibling, the Pro variant will come with a tad bigger display at 6.55” and the panel here is also a curved one. This AMOLED screen will produce Full HD+ resolution with 1080*2400 pixels. It will also come with a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Reno 6 Pro 5G will also sport a MediaTek chipset, however, it will be a more premium Dimensity 1200 here paired with 12 GB RAM and the onboard storage will be 256GB.

Like the Reno 6 5G, it will also boot on ColorOS 11.3 with Android 11 in its core. Coming to the optical configuration, it’s a quad-camera system that will offer the same setup as it’s on the standard Reno 6 5G with an additional 2 MP mono-camera that will work as a temperature sensor. On the front, there is the same 32 MP sensor housed in the punch-hole display.

Coming to the onboard sensors, it’s the same setup as that of the standard Reno 6 5G, however, the Z-axis linear motor is replaced by an x-axis linear motor on this premium offering.
