Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Plus will be launched soon with a notch design, like the one that iPhone X possesses. The official page of Oppo on Chinese social network Weibo released the teaser for the impending announcement.

The teaser shows not only the notch design but also bezel-less display, especially at the sides. The bezels on the top and chin are also negligibly small. The company has also incorporated 3D sensing to empower the users with facial recognition features and animated emojis.

The notch design has also led to speculations that the Oppo R15 and R15 Plus smartphones could have advanced front and rear cameras as well as enhanced security features. There are also speculations about these two smartphones releasing with vertically placed dual cameras at the rear and a gesture-enabled virtual home button.

The Oppo R15 ad R15 Plus is believed to be powered with Android 8.1 Oreo which will be accentuated with Color OS 4.0.  Both the smartphones are touted to release with the yet to be launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset and is believed to have strong support for the trending and much-in-demand artificial intelligence capabilities.

As for the much-anticipated launch date, the Chinese smartphone giant is yet to reveal an official date. Most of the Oppo phone lovers expect it to launch by the end of this month based on the sneak peek that they have already received. However, there is also a school of thought which is taking the launch of the previous edition into consideration. They believe that since the Oppo R11 was launched in June last year, the Oppo R15 an R15 Plus could be slotted for release somewhere in the beginning or end of June this year.
