Oppo N1 Smartphone with 13MP Rotating Camera Launched in India for Rs. 39,999by Sushant Bhosale January 30, 2014 1 comment
Chinese mobile maker Oppo has finally entered Indian market with its new smartphone N1 priced at Rs. 39,999 (16GB variant). The company first introduced the phone in September last year amidst much fanfare. The launch event took place in Delhi. Oppo N1 is the first smartphone in the world to officially partner up with Cyanogen. Cyanogen is a tweaked version of Android OS with a several features. Users will get the option to choose from Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Oppo’s Color UI or the latest Cyanogen Mod.
Another unique feature of N1 is the 13MP rotating camera (with dual LED flash) that can be rotated up to 206 degrees. Oppo claims that it has a 6-piece lens design which is first for an Android device. The 13MP snapper serves both front and back camera purpose due to its rotating ability.
Other key features of Oppo N1 include 5.9-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution, 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM and 3610mAh battery capacity. The screen will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology for added protection. The rear sports a touch sensitive panel called O-Touch optimized for single hand usage i.e. it can be used to scroll documents or web pages while using the phone with single hand.
The phone will be available in 16GB and 32GB memory variants. The connectivity features include- 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and more.
Oppo N1 will come in White colour and weighs about 213 grams. The dimensions of the device are 170.7 x 82.6 x 9 mm.

It seems Chinese mobile makers are all set for Indian market in 2014 as Gionee has also launched several new handsets in India recently.
Considering the price tag of Rs. 39,999, it will be interesting to see how the Indian market reacts to N1 as there are many other devices from well known brands (like Samsung, Sony, Nokia) in the similar price range. In addition there are domestic manufacturers like Micromax and Karbonn. Also, after sales service will be another point of concern for the buyers. Stay tuned for more!
