Chinese handset manufacturer Oppo has launched its new set of smartphones named as Find 7 and Find 7a. The Find 7a is a ‘Lite’ variant of Find 7. The unique feature about the new smartphone is its Super Zoom mode of its 13MP primary camera capable of that merging 10 photos to create a single 50MP image. The Find 7 will come with a price tag of 3498 yuan (approx. Rs. 34,500 & $599) whereas the Find 7a will come with a price tag of 2998 yuan (approx. Rs. 29,500 & $499) and is already on sale in company’s hometown (China). However there are no details out about the pricing and availability for other markets.
The Find 7 sports a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and 538ppi pixel density. It is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with 3GB RAM and runs on customized version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean dubbed as Color OS 1.2. The internal storage capacity is 32GB with an option to expand via microSD card, but the details are not yet available. There’s a 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor and LED flash. A tweet by Oppo about Find 7’s camera- “By taking ten photos at the backend the Find 7 can take 50 megapixel photos with the Super Zoom feature.” The front hosts a 5MP camera with BSI sensor. Connectivity features include 3G, 4G LTE, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and AGPS. All of this is packed with 3000mAh battery and a Rapid Charge Technology which helps to charge the phone up to 75% in about 30 minutes.
