After a good wait, Oppo has finally unveiled the A57 2022 in the Indian market. The device has already been on sale globally since May. The design language opted by the Chinese giant is quite unique with a pattern on the rear shell and on the front, the smartphone will feature a water drop notch to house the selfie camera.

Oppo has also focused on offering a slim design with a thickness of just 7.99mm. Before diving into the specs, you must know that the latest edition of Oppo A57 will pack 4 gigs of memory and a MediaTek SoC. The aspect ratio here will be 20:9 and the larger battery unit will support fast charging.

Oppo A57 2022: Key specs & features

The all-new Oppo A57 will greet you with a 6.56” LCD panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz and the panel will produce a resolution of 720*1600 pixels. The HD+ panel will also offer 60Hz touch sampling rate with a pixel density of 269ppi. Along with all this, the smartphone will reach a peak brightness of 600 nits and a NTSC color calibration of 96% and DCI-P3 100% color gamut. In terms of protection, the smartphone comes with Panda Glass shield and the screen to body ratio will be 89.8%.

Moving to the optics, the notch on the upfront will house an 8-megapixel sensor. On the rear, the all-new Oppo A57 2022 will offer a dual-camera system with a primary 13MP lens. It will get paired with a 2MP lens for monochrome shots. The main sensor will come with a fixed aperture of f/2.2. The camera app will offer features like night mode, timelapse, 1080p 30FPS recording, and more.

At its core, Oppo A57 will sport a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC with options of 3GB and 4GB memory. Both the variants will come with 64 gigs of onboard eMMC 5.1 storage. Moreover, Oppo is also offering users the option of using virtual RAM up to 4GB. This extended RAM option will specifically help the gamers. The whole package is backed up by a 5,000 mAh battery that also comes with fast charging support of up to 33W. As per the claims by the brand, the SuperVOOC charging will charge the smartphone from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes.

On the software front, the device will boot on Android 12 with a custom ColorOS 12.1 skin on the top. The power button on the right edge will come integrated with a fingerprint scanner. Few connectivity features are Wi-Fi 5, 4G VoLTE, a dedicated microSD card slot, GPS, a 3.5mm audio port, and more. The all-new Oppo A57 2022 will also sport stereo speaker setup. The device will also be water and dust resistant with IP54 ratings.

Pricing and availability

The latest addition to the Oppo lineup, A57 2022 will be available in two color options; Glowing Green and Glowing Black. Globally, the device comes in 3GB and 4GB options. In India, Oppo is only offering the younger sibling with 3GB+64GB memory and storage combination at a retail price of ₹13,999. The smartphone is already on sale through Flipkart, Amazon IN, and other major retailers.
