Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to expand its budget smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of Oppo K1. The phone was launched in company’s hometown China in October last year and now it is all set to hit Indian market as per the dedicated landing page on Flipkart.com. The highlights of the phone include in-display fingerprint sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC.

Oppo K1 Pricing Details

The Oppo K1 was launched in China with a starting price tag of CNY 1,599 which is roughly Rs. 16,900. The top variant with 6GB RAM is priced at CNY 1,799 which is roughly Rs. 19,000. The price in India won’t be exactly as converted here but you can expect it to be in the similar range. In China, the phone was launched in two color options- Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue; and you can expect the Indian market to get both these colour options.

Oppo K1 Features and Specification

The Oppo K1 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display with screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 resulting into 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. Display comes with a water drop shaped notch at the top that houses the selfie camera and the display also houses an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is the latest example of a smartphone manufacturers’ commitment to in-display fingerprint sensor technology in order to differentiate from the counterparts and gain a competitive edge. There’s a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor underneath clocked up to 2.2GHz to keep things ticking. The storage options include- 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable up to 256G via microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo on top of ColorOS 5.2 out of the box and is fueled by a 3,600mAh capacity battery.

In terms of optics, the Oppo K1 bears a horizontally stacked dual camera module on the back which is placed at top left corner and comprises of a 16-megapixel primary sensor + a 2-megapixel secondary sensor along with an LED flash. The front gets a 25-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
