Oppo K1 Launched in IndiaChina-based handset maker Oppo has launched its latest K-series in India by means of Oppo K1. The phone was announced in China back in October 2018 and it looks to bring premium features to the affordable segment for the online market. The highlights of the phone include Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The K1 is one of the most affordable smartphones to offer an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo K1 Price, Availability and Launch Details in India

The Oppo K1 is priced in India at Rs. 16,990 for lone 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant and it will go on sale starting 12 February via ecommerce giant Flipkart.com. There will be two colour options available for the interested buyers- Piano Black and Astral Blue. As part of the launch offer, the company is offering no cost EMI and a 90 per cent buyback guarantee up to Rs 15,300 for a period of 8 months. In addition, Citi Bank debit and credit card users can avail a 10 per cent discount.

Oppo K1 Features and Specifications

The Oppo K1 comes with an attractive 3D curved glass back panel to offer a comfortable in-hand feel. It sports a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is a dew drop shaped small notch at the top which houses the selfie camera and helps to achieve higher screen to body ratio of 91 per cent. The display also gets strong Gorilla Glass 5 layer of protection on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor paired with an Adreno 512 GPU that promises to deliver a consistent and smooth performance, even while playing graphic intensive games like PUBG. In addition, there’s support of Oppo’s Hyper Boost technology that further enhances the gaming performance. In terms of memory, there’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone also has a 6GB variant that was launched in China, but the Indian market has got only one variant as of now. It runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. All of this is fueled by a 3,600mAh capacity battery.

In the camera department, there’s a 16MP + 2MP rear camera with AI support that has the ability to recongnise over 120 scenes. The phone is big on selfie and comes equipped with 25MP front camera with a new AI beauty algorithm that analyses the face to offer the best shot.
