Oppo A5 Reported to Enter Indian Market by Next Week: Expected to Be Priced Under Rs. 15000

China-based smartphone brand Oppo launched its budget smartphone Oppo A5 in its hometown last month. There is no official word yet on its launch in India, but the phone is now expected to hit the Indian market by next week as per the report by 91mobiles.com, which claims to have received the information from its retail sources. As per the report, the Oppo A5 is expected to be priced under Rs. 15,000.

For those who are unaware, here’s a quick recap of Oppo A5 features and specifications…

The phone bears a 6.2-inch Full HD+ FullView display with 720×1520 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9 resulting into 87.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display comes protected by 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The onboard storage capacity of the device is 64GB which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system based ColorOS 5.1. The battery capacity of the device is 4230mAh battery which provides up to 14 hours of backup on a single charge as claimed by the company.

For the camera buffs, there’s a 13MP (f/2.2 aperture) + 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) dual camera setup on the rear. The rear camera set up also has LED flash support. The front features an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture and AI-assisted beautify features.

The sensors include Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and ambient light sensors. There are two color options available for the users- Mirror Blue and Mirror Pink. Not sure if the company will bring both color variants in India.
